Having served traditional Vietnamese food in Jakarta for more than 12 years, Do An recently opened its newest outlet at Colony 6 building in Kemang. The casual restaurant introduces a slew of authentic Vietnamese dishes that go beyond the famous pho. To wit, the com tam (broken rice) served with grilled chicken, steamed egg roll, and the traditional fish sauce, along with the bo luc lac, a tomato rice dish with sautéed garlic beef. The hearty bun bo hue (beef noodle soup) is another spice-rich dish to try at Do An. Don’t forget to order the Vietnamese iced coffee to complement your meal.

NamNam Noodle Bar
After introducing its hearty Hanoi-style pho in several outlets across Jakarta, NamNam Noodle Bar has opened a new place at Senayan City. Taking inspiration from Vietnamese street food, the eatery offers a delectable selection of pho (rice noodles) served with a variety of toppings, such as wagyu beef slices and chicken. A local twist can be found in the pho dish with oxtail and beef meatballs, which pays homage to many Indonesians’ favourite bakso dish. Not to be missed are NamNam’s selection of banh mi (baguette with savoury fillings) and its addictive appetizers, from spring rolls to crispy chicken wings.

In a rare collaboration between a restaurant and a fashion brand, Pancious and the local label (X)S.M.L. joined forces in a new concept entitled “La Storia del Banchetto” (“Story of Banquet”). This collaboration resulted in five new dishes and drinks by the restaurant, four of which are inspired by (X)S.M.L.’s fall-winter 2016 collection — including ox tongue arrabiata pasta, squid ink risotto with prawn, watermelon fresco and lychee charcoal lemonade.
